Other names: Baklava
A sweet architecture made with nearly forty layers of thin pastry, pistachios, and clarified butter. Gaziantep Baklava was the first Turkish product to receive EU geographical indication registration (2013).
The mastery lies in rolling the pastry very thin with starch and balancing syrup and temperature.

Gaziantep baklavası, 2013'te AB coğrafi işaret tescili alan ilk Türk ürünü oldu; şehir 2015'te UNESCO Yaratıcı Şehirler Ağına gastronomi alanında katıldı. Ustalık ölçüsü, yufkanın altındaki yazıyı okutacak inceliğe ulaşmaktır.
